Buying for a cyclist is a hard task as they usually have everything they need, and if they don't, they are usually very particular with what they would like. I have chosen a small selection of things which make lovely presents without breaking the bank. Scroll down to view the products.
For the cyclist who has everything - Phil Wood Bio Lube
Chain oil is a consumable item so you can never have too much of it. The Phil Bio Lube is an all natural oil that can be used all year round. The bottle has an integrated dripper for a cleaner application. It can also be used to lubricate cables.
For the home mechanic - Phil Wood Hand Cleaner
This hand cleaner developed by Phil Wood just works. It effectively removes dirt and grime, which is essential for any budding home mechanic. A great little gift they won't be expecting.
For the commuter - Bungee's and Repair Kits
Commuters, shoppers and people that get around by bike love bungee's. We have 2 options, some Dutch Bungee's and some very nice French ones. The Dutch style have a triple bungee with plastic coated hooks, good for tieing down larger items. The French use a grippy rubber single bungee with carabineer style clips and come in a striking red.
The dutch style are sold loose, while the French are sold in a nice presentation box.
And finally, probably a Christmas gift since the invention of the innertube, we have some classic French puncture repair kits. The French have a long cycle touring history and know a thing or two about fixing tubes. We have Rustines or Velox to choose from. Both will make excellent stocking fillers.
For the retro-grouch - Tool Rolls and Saddle Bags
These two next items are for those who love riding all things vintage. The Eh Works Tool Roll is made in the USA from waxed canvas and can store all your daily essentials like innertube and tools etc. It fits any saddle using a leather toe strap.
For those who need to carry a little more, we have the Minnehaha barrel bag. In black canvas with contrasting tan leather straps, it looks just the part hung on the back of a Brooks leather saddle.
Alternatively there is the synthetic leather saddle bag. A small bag which can hold a phone or wallet. A finishing touch to a retro build.
For the new Christmas vintage bike - CountrySpeed Lights
If you know someone getting a retro styled bike for Christmas and you want to give them a little bike gift, these retro bike lights are perfect for accessorising in style. The front light boasts some decent LEDs punching 10 lux output, while the mudguard rear light has a built in reflector and a flashing mode. Practical gifts for winter cycling.
For the non-cyclist - Copper and Stainless Steel Water Bottles
These water bottles are great for everyday use. One is made from pure copper and the other stainless steel. Both bottles are designed for cold drinks only, ideally water. They both fit into standard bike cages (just incase they decide to go for a cycle). The clean Kanteen bottle is 800ml and the Copperlane is 900ml. Both bottles are leak proof and have a seamless construction, and make beautiful gifts!
